Monday Night Preview 🔽

Both Hurts and Cousins had 2 interceptions in their respective week one games. However, the Eagles relied heavily on new addition Saquan Barkley who put up 109 yards in his Philadelphia debut. While the Falcons are looking for revival after losing in week one to the Steelers who didn’t score a touchdown.

A $180M quarterback and 2022’s first running back off the board and the Falcons offense only put up 226 total yards in week one which was 29th in the league. However the Eagles did give up the third most yards in week one.

Running Backs Can’t Succeed in Baltimore?

The Baltimore Ravens fall to 0-2 for the first time since 2015 when their starting quarterback was Joe Flacco. This time the Ravens fall to the Raiders when leading by two scores with only ten minutes left in the game.

After signing the leagues leading rusher since 2017, Baltimore is having a hard time getting Derrick Henry going like he did in seasons past. It seems like the Ravens are the home for running backs who are the backend of their career. Think of Devonta Freeman, Mark Ingram, Kenyan Drake, Latavius Murray, and Le’Veon Bell.

Does that mean that Baltimore could end up being the end of the road for Derrick Henry? Running backs have never truly been successful in a Lamar Jackson led offense. Just look across the Harbaugh’s. From one Harbaugh to the other made all the difference for JK Dobbins who is now the NFL’s leading rusher through two weeks. Dobbins is the only player to have multiple 40+ yard runs on the season with three.

Bryce Young Benched!! 🚏

The 2022 #1 overall pick has been benched only 18 games into his young career. If Bryce Young doesn’t see the field again he could make his case for the worst draft pick in NFL history. Young hits the bench with more career interceptions than touchdowns.

Cats Can’t Hang?

The Kentucky Wildcats hold the #1 Georgia Bulldogs to only 13 points but punt the ball while at midfield in the final minutes of the 4th quarter. A questionable call from Mark Stoops who had Georgia on the ropes to potentially give the Wildcats their 4th win over a #1 team in school history.
